What we do

Country Programme Document for Albania (2022-2026)

This is the UNDP-Albania Country Programme which outlines our programme pillars for the period 2022-2026. UNDP Programe is well aligned and clearly reflect Albania’s development priorities articulated in the National Strategy for Development and Integration as well as in the Albania-United Nations Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework 2022-2026. Our Programme is well aligned with UNDP Global Strategic Plan and contributed towards the European Union Integration Agenda through several European Union acquis chapters. The Programme contributes to the achievement of several Sustainable Development Goals.

Economic Recovery and Resilience Programme - In Motion, Astir

As a response to the devastating earthquake of the 26th of November 2019 as well as the crisis caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, UNDP is supporting the Government of Albania in its economic recovery efforts through the Economic Recovery and Resilience Programme in Albania (ERR).

Through this booklet we are sharing the 35 stories of the beneficiaries before and after the implementation of In Motion in Astir, Tirana. The programme supported these businesses through personalized technical assistance and rebranding of their commercial image. The 35 businesses represented the most common type of small shops from minimarket to tailors, hairdressers, barbers, small restaurants, shops, etc.

Tourism and Hospitality in Albania 2022

In the second half of 2022, UNDP in cooperation with the Albanian Tourism Association conducted a study to assess the impact of the war in Ukraine on the tourism sector. The main goal was to collect and analyze data on hospitality and tourism focusing on the main actors from the supply and demand side.
