Development in crisis and fragile settings is central to UNDP's partnership with the European Union. In 2024, which also marked the 20th anniversary of UNDP-EU partnership, our shared mission to support the most vulnerable and foster resilience was put to the test in unprecedented ways. The devastating conflicts in Sudan, Ukraine, and Gaza have created immense humanitarian needs and the continued global impacts of climate change have stretched our collective capacities. From economic instability to escalating displacement crises, the challenges have been vast and interconnected. Yet, through these trials, we’ve witnessed the extraordinary strength of our partnership. Together, we’ve delivered life-saving aid, rebuilt shattered communities, and empowered those most affected to regain stability and hope. These achievements reflect not only our shared vision but also the resilience and determination of the communities we serve.(link is external)
