We work at a nexus of new expertise and practices in sustainable development, inclusive governance and poverty reduction with a unique set of capacities and positioning.
Our Lab promotes new approaches, solutions and use of unordinary data sources. We pioneer crowdsourcing, collective intelligence, grassroot solutions and using experimentation for accelerated learning.
We are applying systems thinking and portfolio logic in designing a forward looking, employment-centered portfolio (Future of Work) and developing interlinked interventions with potential for transformations in labor markets, social resilience and just transition.
We are also testing new approaches in improving public services delivery in rural areas.
Other highlights:
- The #GreenAralSea Initiative - piloting crowdfunding, testing new planting tech, and rising awareness for the Aral Sea region
- A behavioural experiment to encourage proper utilization of medical PPE during the pandemic setting up a PPE waste disposal system in Tashkent
- COVID-19 IT Challenge - mentorship and financial support of the finalists, boosting networks of collaboration to develop urgent grassroot solutions
- Public-private partnership leads - application of private sector digital solutions in the public COVID-19 Help Centers, programs to support SMEs to weather COVID disruptions
