Amid complex crisis contexts in recent years, the normative frameworks of the humanitarian, peace and development landscape have evolved to reflect emerging discourse and programming approaches to ensure the integration of SDG achievement and Nexus implementation.
Local actors should get equipped better to become active agents of change, responding to crises and to mobilize and optimize resource utilization; and effectively to leverage knowledge.
The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are organizing a high-level event on the sidelines of the Opening of the 78th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA78) under the theme: “The Humanitarian Development and Peace Nexus: From Theory to Practice with the compass towards 2030.
The event will focus on HDP Nexus and SDGs, and HDP Nexus and the role played by international partners.
The session will be moderated by Dr. Abdalla Al Dardari Assistant Secretary General, Regional Director for Arab States United Nations Development Programme.
