The Botswana Integrated Water Resources Management and Water Efficiency (IWRM WE) Plan represents our “long term solution”.  The goal of this plan is to “Improve people’s livelihoods and welfare and contribute to sustained economic growth, economic diversification, social justice and poverty eradication through efficient, equitable and sustainable water resources development and management.” The development of the plan came at a time when the Water Sector was undergoing a series of reforms, and the plan took cognizance of the changes that will result from these reforms and also the recommendations made in the National Water Master Plan Review of 2006.
