On April 22nd, 2017, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in China launched the "2030 Global Goals Original Songwriting Contest". Now it is great pleasure to congratulate Suci Izzati, from Indonesia, as the winner of the contest!

In order to use the song to carry the message of sustainable development to the world, UNDP has partnered with Sina Weibo, together with a number of famous musicians, to produce a final version of the winning song. Famous celebrities from all walks of life have been invited to participate in recording a music video to accompany the song. The final version of the song and its music video will be released on major media and social media platforms. Through this campaign we hope that the melody of sustainable development can be ‘vocalized’ in every corner of the world!

The whole campaign is part of innovative efforts to encourage engagement and action on the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda, aiming to bring to attention and stimulate action among the public on implementing the 2030 Agenda with its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Since the launch of the campaign, dozens of entries from around the world were received and Top 17 finalists were selected through an online voting platform. Famous musician Lao Lang, together with professional judges from established institutions including Communication University of China and Sichuan Conservatory of Music, was invited to be on the judge panel to select the winning song.
