China's economic growth has spurred the emergence of new characteristics in rural micro and small enterprises (MSEs). However, these enterprises also face significant challenges, including population aging, digital and green transformation, and climate change. Consequently, their financial needs have evolved, demanding an enhanced service capacity from financial institutions.

This study comprehensively analyzes the current state of financial demand and supply for rural MSEs in China. Utilizing data from surveys, research, and reports conducted across various regions, it examines the financial service environment in China while incorporating factors like digitalization. By identifying the financing challenges faced by rural MSEs, the study aims to provide valuable recommendations for financial support that fosters their sustainable development.
