UNDP Country Office in Morocco is Hosting a Global Learning Workshop of UNDP Practitioners on E-Justice

7 février 2024

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Morocco is hosting a global meeting of delegations from UNDP country offices, on the eve of the International Conference on the Digital Transformation of the Judicial System, which is set to take place on February 8 and 9, 2024, in Tangier, Morocco.

The global learning workshop (hybrid) is part of The Justice Futures CoLab by the Global Programme for the Rule of Law, Security, and Human Rights (ROLSHR), in collaboration with UNDP's Chief Digital Office (CDO), UNDP Country Office in Morocco, the Regional Bureau for Arab States (RBAS), and UNDP's Regional Bureau for Africa (RBA).

It is designed to facilitate learning and exchange among UNDP staff involved (or planning to be involved) in e-justice programming and to strengthen UNDP networks and explore opportunities for cross-collaboration and synergies at regional and global levels.

The global meeting's objectives are to enhance comprehensive understanding and dialogue on several key aspects:

  • Exploration of Current and Future E-Justice Initiatives: Participants will learn about existing and planned e-justice and justice digitalization programming at the country level, sharing insights and best practices.

  • UNDP’s Role in Digitalization: The meeting will serve as a platform to discuss UNDP's unique role and added value in the digital transformation processes within the justice sector.

  • Addressing E-Justice Programming Challenges: Through collaborative dialogue, attendees will identify solutions to address the needs, questions, and challenges that arise in e-justice programming.

  • Opportunities for Collaboration: The gathering will highlight opportunities for further exchanges, cross-collaboration between UNDP country offices, and potential synergies at regional and global levels.

UNDP Morocco Country Office is proud to be at the forefront of this crucial dialogue and collaboration, setting the stage for impactful advancements in the digital transformation of justice systems worldwide. We look forward to the fruitful discussions and outcomes that will emerge from this global meeting and the International Conference that follows.
