Integration and Partnerships

The underlying causes of gender inequality in crisis settings are truly multifaceted that addressing them requires cross-sectoral and cross-thematic interventions. UNDP’s flagship progamme for gender equality in crisis settings integrates livelihood support towards women’s economic empowerment with gender-based violence prevention, for example. Partnerships with other UN agencies, civil society, governments, and the private sector are also critical to maximize gender equality impacts in crisis. UNDP has documented lessons learned and ways forward for integrating key areas of work and collaborating with various partners.
