Geneva, October 27th: UNDP and UNOCHA have launched a photography competition entitled "Change makers in Action: Building disability inclusive, resilient communities" to commemorate the 2023 International Day of Persons with Disabilities.
The competition aims to celebrate resilient, disability-inclusive communities and to showcase the role of persons with disabilities as agents of change. The competition seeks to showcase the work of communities, individuals and organizations contributing towards a resilient, inclusive and peaceful society that is protected from risk and crisis.
Participation is open to everyone, including individuals or organizations.
An award ceremony for the top three finalists will be organized on the 5th of December 2023 at a public advocacy event sponsored by UNDP–UNOCHA and partners in Geneva. The top 20 finalist photographs will be featured in a digital exhibit at the event and will be published online on UNDP and UNOCHA's website and social media channels.
