The winners of the 2nd edition of the investigative journalism scholarship on the theme “For Reforms and a Stable Governance in Guinea-Bissau” on the radio category were chosen by a jury. The winners for television and press had already been selected in the beginning of August.
The 3 teams will now start their investigations on the themes: “Human Rights and Justice in Djobel” for the television category, “Ghost employees in the Public Administration” for the press category, and “Women and sexual harassment at work in the Security Forces” for the radio category.
The aim of the scholarship programme is to promote investigative journalism in Guinea-Bissau, support the media sector, contribute to active citizenship and build trust between the media and the public. Each team of journalists will be working in earnest in the ensuing months with the support of UNDP and the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
