Requirements

Dutch Nationals: 

  • Advanced university degree at Master’s level
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience after obtaining first university degree
  • Maximum 4 years relevant work experience
  • Maximum 1 year UN experience (paid or not)
  • Full-time consulting experience and formal volunteer work through the United Nations Volunteer Programme may be counted at a rate of 100% of the time service, provided it is relevant to the position.
  • Working knowledge of English

Nationals of Developing Countries:

  • Must appear on the list of the following countries eligible for the Dutch JPO Programme 
  • Must not be a national of the country of assignment
  • Advanced university degree at Master’s level
  • Part of academic training (BA and/or MA) must have taken place in a developing country that appears on the list of eligible countries
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience after obtaining first university degree
  • Maximum 4 years relevant work experience
  • Maximum 1 year UN experience (paid or not)
  • Full-time consulting experience and formal volunteer work through the United Nations Volunteer Programme may be counted at a rate of 100% of the time service, provided it is relevant to the position.
  • Working knowledge of English
