Localization of SDGs in the regions of Abai, Zhetysu, Ulytau and Kyzylorda

This analytical report has been prepared within the framework of the contract between the United Nations Development Programme (the «UNDP») and Economic Research Institute JSC (the «Institute»).

The purpose of the work is to analyze the basic socio-economic and environmental development agenda and identify the development prospects of Kyzylorda region and analyze the sustainability of the region taking into account the principles of «green economy» and low-carbon development, identifying areas with potential for development.

The study was led by B. Khambar, Director of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development Goals of the Economic Research Institute JSC. The report was compiled under the overall coordination of A. Kusmanov, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of the Institute, and Z.Ibragimov, Project Expert of the United Nations Development Programme in Kazakhstan.

The analytical report was prepared by the working group of Economic Research Institute JSC, Deputy Directors of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development Goals A. Utebayeva, leading experts of the Secretariat for Sustainable Development Goals - A. Okusheva, N.Novokshanova, M.Nurzhanova, A.
