The Accelerating Clean Cooking Action in Kenya (ACCA) project
The Accelerating Clean Cooking Action in Kenya (ACCA) project supports Kenya’s goal of achieving 100% access to clean cooking solutions by 2028, aligning with the country’s climate and sustainable energy ambitions. The project focuses on distributing clean cookstoves to vulnerable households in Nairobi, Tana River, Laikipia, Kajiado, and Machakos, transitioning public institutions from biomass to LPG, and creating new economic opportunities for women and youth in the clean cooking value chain. By reaching 10,000 households and reducing 25,000 tons of CO2 emissions annually, the initiative contributes to improved health, reduced deforestation, and enhanced climate resilience in Kenya.
