Many people want to become a world-class programmer, but there is little desire and access to good education is hard to come by. Such unique opportunity can be obtained by studying with the Oracle Academy system, which Kyrgyz people can access thanks to UNDP and the Russian government.
Students of the I. Razakov Kyrgyz State Technical University and the International Ala-Too University have gained access to a range of Oracle Academy programmes. The initiative was implemented as part of the project "Digital Skills and Employment Opportunities for Young People in the Digital Economy" in cooperation with Razakov State Technical University and the Oracle Moscow office.
The aim of the project was to increase the interest of Kyrgyz people in computer technologies and provide access to new knowledge.
Oracle Academy offers numerous training programmes, materials and resources for teaching students advanced IT technologies. The training resources of Oracle Academy are provided free of charge and allows students to study in different languages. Students will be able to access advanced educational materials and learn Java programming, the Finch robot, SQL basics and how to work with databases and tables. All this is necessary in learning how to develop software using artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
Kabaeva Gulnara, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor at KSTU Razzakova said:
"Oracle is one of the world's largest software companies and the Oracle Academy provides excellent opportunities for our students to receive first-hand knowledge of the latest technologies. I can say that the system is very interesting and even the teachers are excited about it. We are grateful to everyone for their access to such educational platforms. Thus, KSTU Razakov becomes closer to the world educational space in the field of IT".

What is convenient about Oracle Academy courses is that the lessons contain not only theory but also practical exercises, allowing each student to test themselves on what they have learned. Furthermore, teachers and students have constant access to various distance learning options and useful online resources.
"I just started using the Oracle Academy website and I liked it a lot. It's hard of course, but I'm trying because I want to learn advanced technologies in the IT field and become a competent specialist"
