Meet Bermet, a 33-year-old entrepreneur transforming her passion into a thriving business through e-commerce. Her journey demonstrates how innovation, perseverance, and the right support can empower anyone to turn their entrepreneurial dreams into reality.

Bermet’s career started in the banking sector, where she worked for nearly four years after graduating from the Academy of Management under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic with a degree in Banking. While on maternity leave, Bermet decided to explore the world of food blogging. She launched her Instagram blog, which grew very quickly. She understood that Instagram provided a platform that put her into the same level with the bloggers from other countries - what mattered most was her passion and the quality of her content. As her blog became popular, Bermet’s entrepreneurial spirit continued to grow. And she started to sell some products related to her blog.

“With my food blog I understood that internet and online marketing can provide a larger audience and enlarge my trade market globally,” says Bermet.

Earlier this year, she expanded her skill set by taking courses in graphic design and photoshop. She transitioned to becoming a self-employed entrepreneur, opening a small office and started selling various products through Instagram. But her ambitions didn’t stop there—she knew that to grow her business, she needed to tap into the power of e-commerce platforms and online marketplaces.

“While selling products through Instagram, I had long considered expanding to online marketplaces, but stepping into something new was a bit scary. Then, by chance, I came across information about the “Zhanyraytshn Sanarip” and applied to the incubation program, led by UNDP and the John Galt business accelerator. I was selected and I am currently undergoing the training.”

Today, Bermet is learning from experienced mentors who specialize in platforms such as Wildberries, OZON, Amazon, and eBay. This mentorship has been instrumental in helping her identify the right niche for her products and unlocking the full potential of e-commerce. Through the program, Bermet has gained valuable insights that are driving her business forward and helping her reach new customers worldwide.

“I am grateful for the opportunity to learn from experts and access the tools that have enabled me to turn my dreams into reality. E-commerce removes borders and opens up many opportunities. I am so glad I have decided to join the program that is providing the knowledge and resources helping us all reach new achievements," she says.

Bermet has also shared her story during the Central Asian E-Commerce ForumE-Commerce EXPO 2024” encouraging other entrepreneurs to believe in themselves and continuously strive for new achievements.

"The possibilities in e-commerce are limitless—believe in your potential, and never stop pushing towards your goals!"
