Within the framework of the inter-agency with UN Women, ILO and UNFPA to support the Government in the implementation of the National Care Policy, a georeferenced mapping of the private and community care provision in two municipalities has been designed and implemented

A georeferenced map of the care supply in the priority areas of the pilot was developed, providing a comprehensive view of the services available in the territories of Azua and Santo Domingo Este. This mapping provided a comprehensive view of the available services, allowing the identification of both the private and community care supply, as well as the demand for care in vulnerable communities. During the process of designing a national care policy, having concrete evidence on the location of care institutions and the territorial distribution of people in need of care was crucial to efficiently connect supply and demand.
