STAKEHOLDER RESPONSE MECHANISM
The Stakeholder Response Mechanism helps project-affected stakeholders, governments, and UNDP jointly resolve concerns and disputes. It is available when an Implementing Partner and UNDP project-level grievance mechanism have not successfully resolved the concern. UNDP Malaysia is committed to avoiding or minimizing unintended harm to stakeholders that may directly or indirectly result from our work.
Any person or community potentially affected by a UNDP-supported project may file a request for a response from the Stakeholder Response Mechanism. The request must relate to a UNDP-supported project and identify how the requestors have been, or may be, adversely affected by the UNDP project or program. Stakeholders are strongly advised to raise any concerns, complaints, or grievances with the relevant UNDP Project Manager or UNDP’s local project partners (government agencies or NGOs) before contacting UNDP Malaysia for the Stakeholder Response Mechanism (SRM).

If a person or community has concerns about the UNDP Country Office's ability to respond fairly and effectively, they can file the request directly with the Stakeholder Response Mechanism at UNDP Headquarters in New York.
