This is the 7th edition of the UNDP Maldives’ Island Life Magazine. This edition highlights our impact together in 2023 & stories that are shaping progress across the Maldives.
Serving in the Maldives for more than 40 years, UNDP Maldives has worked on sustainable development, democratic governance and peace building, and climate and disaster resilience in the country. In all our work, we make concerted efforts to meet the needs of the most disadvantaged, marginalised and vulnerable groups, particularly women and youth.
The UNDP Resident Representative is the spokesperson for the UNDP Administrator in addition to being the head of the country office. The current Resident Representative is Enrico Gaveglia since 4th October 2021.
UNDP collaborates with various partners, including the Government, civil society, public and private sectors to deliver efficiently and effectively. Our development agenda for the Maldives is in close collaboration with the government of Maldives and the priorities of the UN System in the Maldives.
