The project aims to improve coastal protection from degradation through nature-based interventions. The project supports extensive mangrove protection and reforestation, while also addressing community pressures (e.g. felling for fuelwood) by introducing alternative livelihoods models and improving public awareness about the important role of mangroves in coastal protection.
