UNDP in Armenia was established in March 1993, and supports the government in meeting its development priorities and the Sustainable Development Goals.
The number and diversity of donors contributing to UNDP programmes confirms the confidence of the national government and the international and local community in our role as a partner of choice for sustainable development.
Accountability is the obligation to demonstrate that work has been conducted in accordance with agreed rules and standards and report fairly and accurately on performance results vis-à-vis mandated roles and/or plans.
The UN Country Team in Armenia is led by the UN Resident Coordinator and consists of 20 resident and non-resident agencies. The World Bank (WB), International Finance Corporation (IFC) and International Monetary Fund (IMF) also have offices in the country.
