Supporting the State Audit Bureau to Develop a Performance Management Framework
Project Overview
This project aims to develop a performance management framework to support the State Audit Bureau (SAB), help the Bureau increase its effectiveness in monitoring and improve its internal audit standards, ensuring compliance with international standards and anticorruption regulations, and improve SAB’s internal audit standards and standard operating procedures which would improve the effectiveness of its evaluation systems in implementing quality assurance, in alignment with compatible Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UNDP will support training workshops to build the capacities of 300 internal auditors, developing the necessary guidelines to support them in better implementing the new framework. The pilot sectors to adopt this framework are Health, Education, and Oil sectors with clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Project Highlights
The project has already developed the National Performance Management Framework providing a clear governance process for national performance management and standardising the process, ensuring that all sectors follow a standard and collaborative approach. Additionally, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) have been identified for each sector, with an implementation plan in place.
