Emma N'Gouan-Anoh
Resident Representative
Emma N'Gouan-Anoh has accumulated 24 years of professional experience in the field of development combining experience with government institutions, international NGOs and international organizations, including 20 years with the United Nations.
Having joined UNDP in Côte d'Ivoire in 2001, she held several senior positions in advising and supporting national policies on poverty reduction and inclusive growth, youth and women's employment as well as sustainable development and climate change issues. In 2014, Emma was appointed Deputy Resident Representative in the Union of Comoros and in 2018 in the Republic of Congo. Prior to joining UNDP, Emma was the Regional Director of the NGO Inades Formation in Côte d'Ivoire
Emma has a rich and diversified experience in partnership development and resource mobilization, effective management of development projects and programs as well as in the elaboration of national development strategy and policy definition in the areas of poverty reduction, job creation, administrative and local governance and peace building, environment, biodiversity and climate change.
Emma ANOH holds a Master of Art in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, USA. She also holds a post-graduate degree in development economics from the University of Pierre Mendès (France) and an Agroeconomist Engineering degree from the Ecole Supérieure d'Agronomie-Institut National Polytechnique de Yamoussoukro in Côte d'Ivoire.
