UNDP Guinea-Bissau is supporting the National People’s Assembly in organizing and facilitating stakeholder consultations to discuss the contents of the project to review the constitutional text. The same processes will be repeated for the projects of the revision texts of the political party law and the electoral law. Inclusive consultation processes involving different relevant stakeholders at the national and regional levels are being conducted all over the country to enable input to the draft laws. Law-making should be informed by broad consultation, enabling the people of Guinea-Bissau to participate, promoting good governance and transparency of ongoing reform processes, and creating confidence amongst stakeholders and trust in the State.
An initiative carried under the scope of the project “Political Stabilization and Reform through Confidence Building and Inclusive Dialogue”, funded by the United Nations Peacebuilding Fund.
