The North Rupununi District Development Board (NRDDB) has a small grant entitled “Strengthening Capacity to Support Local Implementation of Fisheries Monitoring and Management in the North Rupununi Wetlands”. The project is funded by the GEF / Small Grants Programme which is being implemented by the UNDP to address Fisheries Management in the North Rupununi. The project is running from Sept 2013 to Aug 2014 and the goal is to addresses fisheries management and review the Arapaima Management Plan (AMP) of 2000.
