We are pleased to share with you the Legislative Drafting Guidebook developed jointly with the Union Attorney General Office (UAGO). The documents aims to guide Myanmar officials in their efforts to ensure that the country’s laws and regulations conform to best practices, are clearly written and do not contradict other laws or the constitution. The Guidebook will also act as the officially endorsed manual for training law officers, parliamentarians, ministry officials at Union and S/R level who have the responsibility to draft laws and other important documents that need to be reviewed by the UAGO. Together with the UAGO, we hope that the Guidebook will become one of the most valuable reference books used by Members of the Parliament and ministry officials at all levels of government.
