The UNDP Cameroon Accelerator Lab is working to address challenges young people face to gain access to the job market and entrepreneurship.
The UNDP Cameroon Accelerator Lab has three dynamic individuals with diverse backgrounds in youth policy and innovation, finance and start-up, community development, gender transformation and protection in humanitarian settings. The Lab is currently working on addressing challenges surrounding young people's access to employment and entrepreneurship. To go about this, we had to identify, map out and build sustainable partnerships with key labor market and entrepreneurship actors. Collective intelligence, sensemaking, co-creation, systems thinking, ethnography, gamification, solutions mapping and artificial intelligence are some methods that have been deployed so far, as we walk on our journey through identifying sustainable solutions that facilitate young people's access to decent jobs and employment.

It has been a great experience so far working with government partners like the Ministry of Employment and Vocational Training, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Social Economy and Handicraft, all working to address concerns in line with our frontier challenge. We thank them for all the support provided to this new global initiative, and especially at the country level. To our development partners like GIZ, AUF, and to sister agencies like UNESCO, we say thanks for all the support you have been providing us. The national employers union groups (ECAM and GICAM) and some CSOs have also been very instrumental at various stages of our learning cycle. We thank you all and are looking forward to continuous cooperation and new partners to support our mission.
