This event convened stakeholders from across the minigrid space in Africa to discuss how to scale up minigrids to bring electricity and new development opportunities to some of Africa's most remote areas. It also formally launched the Africa Minigrids Program, a multi-partner initiative funded by the Global Environment Facility and led by UNDP in partnership with RMI and the African Development Bank that aims to enable scaled-up private investments in solar battery minigrids in 21 countries.
