The “Building Circularity into Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) – A Practical Toolbox” aims to provide countries in both the Global North and the Global South with a methodology, resources, and tools to assess, prioritize, integrate, and implement circular economy interventions in their updated NDCs. The digital toolbox, which is accompanied by a user guide with detailed steps for policymakers, was designed to help enhance ambition and accelerate implementation of NDCs through circular economy, while supporting a just and inclusive green transition.

The toolbox and user guide were co-developed by UNDP, UNEP/One Planet Network Secretariat, and UNFCCC secretariat. The digital toolbox will be intermittently updated with new tools, resources, and case studies as they become available and should be considered as a starting point for further research and collaboration on integrating circular economy into NDCs.
