UNDP, in partnership with Samsung Electronics, is organizing in a fireside chat to highlight the role of climate tech entrepreneurship and mobile technology in tackling youth unemployment and driving sustainable development.

The event will explore the support structures necessary for young entrepreneurs in the climate tech space, such as mentorship programs, seed funding opportunities, and incubator or accelerator programs that can help transform innovative ideas into viable business ventures, in addition to highlighting personal narratives that reflect the broader realities of youth unemployment, with a youth representative sharing firsthand experiences of entering the job market, particularly in the climate tech sector, and the obstacles faced. 

Moreover, the discussion will focus on the role of mobile technology in enhancing educational programs and skills development for young entrepreneurs. This encompasses the use of mobile apps for learning, access to online courses and workshops, and the integration of mobile platforms in remote and blended learning environments
