UNDP and Switzerland support a new training cycle for Ukrainian Business Association leaders
May 13, 2024
Kyiv, 13 May 2024 — Eduard Maltsev, Deputy Dean of the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School (kmbs), led the first module of a free series of management development training programmes organized by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Ukraine, the “Strengthening Business Membership Organizations of Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ukraine” project, with support from Switzerland, which was developed from kmbs programmes.
In the “System Thinking” module developed by Mr Maltsev, business support organization leaders – including representatives of the Ukrainian Business Council, the National Platform of Small and Medium Enterprises, and UNDP’s partner business associations – explored their organizations as systems and found opportunities for further development.
The new management development cycle, created by UNDP in partnership with kmbs, was established in response to requests by strategic partners and partner business associations, which are continuously seeking opportunities to reach and effectively interact with a greater number of enterprises.
Maksym Boroda, Project Manager for UNDP Ukraine, said that this course was built on the foundations of a previous training programme: “This cycle is a natural continuation of the leadership programme implemented by UNDP in partnership with kmbs back in 2021. It is intended to provide business association leaders with the competencies they need to effectively manage large-scale organizations, even in crisis conditions.”
The course will last until 14 August and includes four modules, each an original programme with kmbs instructors:
- Systems and System Thinking for Managers: Eduard Maltsev’s Original Programme.
- Strategic Session on Your Own: Oksana Shchehelska’s Original Programme.
- Service School for Top Executives: Anastasia Vladychynska’s Original Programme.
- Economic Thinking. New Paradigms: Yevhen Pentsak’s Original Programme.
