STAKEHOLDER RESPONSE MECHANISM

The Stakeholder Response Mechanism helps project-affected stakeholders, governments, and UNDP jointly resolve concerns and disputes. It is available when an Implementing Partner and UNDP project-level grievance mechanism have not successfully resolved the concern. UNDP Malaysia is committed to avoiding or minimizing unintended harm to stakeholders that may directly or indirectly result from our work.

Any person or community potentially affected by a UNDP-supported project may file a request for a response from the Stakeholder Response Mechanism. The request must relate to a UNDP-supported project and identify how the requestors have been, or may be, adversely affected by the UNDP project or program. Stakeholders are strongly advised to raise any concerns, complaints, or grievances with the relevant UNDP Project Manager or UNDP’s local project partners (government agencies or NGOs) before contacting UNDP Malaysia for the Stakeholder Response Mechanism (SRM).

You may submit requests by completing the Project Concern Form (appended below) and sending it to UNDP, via the channels below:

Requests can be submitted online or by mail, as described here: Stakeholder Response Mechanism | United Nations Development Programme (undp.org).
