Partnership of the Caribbean & European Union on Justice (PACE) Regional Programme (EU)
The PACE Justice Project spans eight Caribbean countries: Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Guyana, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago. The aim is to strengthen and enhance the institutional capacities of police forces, prosecutors, and courts across the region, enabling them to manage the backlog of criminal cases effectively and efficiently within the justice system.
The project focuses on three complementary outputs:
Output 1: Enabling Technology and Systems Training to Improve Efficiency in Justice Administration
This output centres on providing key justice sector stakeholders with the technological tools and training needed to streamline case management, improve communication, and enhance the efficiency of the justice system. By integrating modern technology, the project aims to reduce delays and support more effective administration of justice.
Output 2: Empowering Stakeholders through Capacity Building Across all Elements of Justice Administration, with a Focus on Service Design and Delivery
This output is focused on building the capacity of those involved in the administration of justice. With a particular emphasis on service design and delivery, the project ensures that stakeholders are equipped to enhance the quality and accessibility of justice for all.
These outputs collectively contribute to transforming the criminal justice landscape in the Caribbean, ensuring a more effective, accessible, and equitable system for all.
