UNDP Hiring Communication Interns

MIDNIGHT

A.    COMMUNICATION INTERN
The Communication Intern will help the UNDP Country Office in Sierra Leone communicate effectively by creating and sharing relevant and timely information on its work and impact, to increase the recognition and reputation of UNDP and its partners.

Requirement:
•    The candidate must be  currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or have recently graduated from  relevant academic programme’s such as communications, public relations,  and journalism.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills in English language, with a demonstrated ability in drafting text and completing stories, 
•    Familiarity with social media platforms and digital communication tools.
•    Creative thinking and the ability to contribute innovative ideas to communication strategies.
•    Basic knowledge of public relations and media relations principles.
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software.
•    Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
•    Familiarity with development issues and knowledge of  UNDP’s work  is a plus
 

B.    GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN
The Graphic Design Intern will assist in designing engaging visuals for internal communications that resonate with different audiences while sharpening their graphic design skills.

Requirement:
•    The candidate must be currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate or a graduate programme in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
•    Proficiency in graphic design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
•    Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and online trends.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
•    Highly motivated, creative, and able to work independently.
•    Strong organizational and time management skills.
•    Familiarity with development issues and knowledge of  UNDP’s work  is a plus.
 

C.    DIGITAL MEDIA (Two positions)
The Digital Media Interns will assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring digital media content to enhance UNDP's visibility and engagement in Sierra Leone.

Requirement:
1.    To be considered, candidates must meet one of the following academic requirement in Communications, Multimedia Arts Media, Marketing, or a related field. 
•    Currently enrolled in a postgraduate degree programme (Master's or higher).
•    Enrolled in the final academic year of a Bachelor's degree programme (or equivalent).
•    Recently graduated with a university degree (within the last year).
•    Enrolled in a postgraduate professional trainee-ship programme.
2.    Strong knowledge of social media platforms, content creation, and online trends.
3.    Proficiency in graphic design, photography  and video editing software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
4.    Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
5.    Highly motivated, creative, and able to work independently.
6.    Strong organizational and time management skills.
7.    Familiarity with development issues and knowledge of  UNDP’s work  is a plus.

Note 
This internship is voluntary, and the intern is expected to cover their own living expenses and accommodation. UNDP Sierra Leone does NOT provide financial support for relocation and subsequent employment after the internship.
