The team of Arab Human Development report is hosting a second webinar about the political economy of COVID-19
The speaker will include Maha Yahya, Director, Carnegie Middle East Center, Tarek M. Yousef Director and Senior Fellow, Brookings Doha Center, and Melani, Professor of International affairs, Harvard University. The moderator will be Bessma Momani, Professor of political science at the university of Waterloo.
The second webinar will discuss the impact of COVID on jobs and the challenges of employment/employability, especially for the youth, the impact on women’s livelihoods and other gender aspects. Also, they will talk about the fall in remittances and other regional and global economic repercussions, and the need for expanding social protection, particularly for the most vulnerable
