On May 4th – 15th, 2020 a group of research assistants were tasked to carry out a survey in the Marshall Islands. Various stakeholders from government ministries, non-governmental organisations, private sectors and influential individuals with no particular affiliation were interviewed face-to-face.

The research was to determine the scope of understanding innovation within the Marshallese context and how these innovations have been or can be supported locally. The research was an attempt to stipulate the way forward in these innovation processes and to identify ways of supporting such innovations. The results helped form the basis of the innovation work plan for RMI, which will be implemented by all local stakeholders. More in the report.
