Climate finance, particularly green official development assistance (ODA), is crucial to mitigating the escalating climate crisis and effectively adapting to its consequences while supporting a green transition. Within this context, this publication identifies potential opportunities derived from the Republic of Korea’s ongoing green transition experience for new and additional resource mobilization, especially through multilateral cooperation for countries in the Global South. Accordingly, the paper offers an overview of Korea’s strategic approach to climate related issues and analyses six representative green policy solutions and their potential to leverage such cooperation in the future.
