Access and Delivery Partnership: TB, Malaria and NTD Health Technologies for Those in Need

Access and Delivery Partnership: TB, Malaria and NTD Health Technologies for Those in Need

December 1, 2022

Since 2013, in partnership with the Government of Japan, the UNDP-led Access and Delivery Partnership (ADP) has worked to strengthen policies, institutions, systems and capacities in LMICs to increase people’s access to life-saving health technologies – vaccines, medicines and diagnostic tools - for tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases. These are diseases that disproportionately affect the poor.

The Partnership strives towards a common goal, one that is reflected in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the UNDP Strategic Plan 2022–2025 and in Japan’s new Global Health Strategy of 2022: that of building resilience of national health systems and prioritizing universal health coverage as an important means towards achieving human security. Working with national, regional and global stakeholders, the core partners of ADP – UNDP, the World Health Organization, the Special Programme for Research and Training in Tropical Diseases and PATH – have delivered results. This report shares a collection of stories that put a spotlight on these results and the impact that ADP is having on people’s lives.
