This position paper describes UNDP's corporate position on the Global Compact for Migration (GCM). It describes UNDP's unique role in supporting Member States to deliver on specific objectives of the GCM. These objectives include minimizing adverse drivers and structural factors that compel people to leave their country of origin, creating conditions for migrants and diaspora to fully contribute to sustainable development, and facilitating safe, dignified return and readmission, and sustainable integration.
