UNDP received Oracle’s “Shift Award” for the rapid global adoption of the Quantum Human Resources module that fully launched in January 2023. UNDP was one of four organizations to be named as part of the 2023 HR Heroes Awards presented at Oracle Cloud World event on 15 September. 

The award recognized the commitment of UNDP and UN Consortium partners to urgently replace outdated legacy systems and make the transition from Atlas to the Quantum HCM Oracle-cloud solution in under two-years. The category evaluated implementations that improved the user experience of their employees and strengthened the business, and the ability to quickly pivot to a unified and complete HCM system to realize staff and organizational benefits. 

“This achievement would not be possible without the collective efforts of the UNDP and UN partner agency colleagues across the world who helped design, build, test Quantum and continue to work tirelessly to operationalize and improve the platform,” UNDP CIO, Sylvain St-Pierre reflected on accepting the award. 

“It serves as a testament to UNDP’s #FutureSmart approach and sets the stage for even greater successes in the future,” he added.
