Question 1:

Why are Approvers not receiving approval notification for Award budget or Project approval (Project and Budget approval notification issue)

Answer 1:

The workaround solution is to withdraw and resubmit the workflow for approval. Where the user cannot withdraw the case, please submit an IT Incident in UNall (Quantum >Project & Portfolio Management). In cases wher the approval is routing to default approver only(Quantumppm Approval), please submit an IT Incident in UNall (Quantum >Project & Portfolio Management)

Question 2:

What to do if I am not able to create Award (Award creation issue)

Answer 2:

When creating an award, users need to assign themselves as the Principal Investigator (PI). You can then update/change the PI after saving the Award in Quantum.

Question 3:

What to do if there is 'Insufficient funds'-error in transactions (Budget Fund Exception)

Answer 3:

Check the available amount under award budget, then check that the Award funding amount is available to revise the budget, and adjust it accordingly. Once the Award budget is approved, additional resources will be available to budget check transactions (e.g., PO transaction).

Question 4:

How t resolve transactions failed because of Award budget is not baselined (approved) (Award Budget not baselined )

Answer 4:

The Award budget will only be available for transaction if it is baselined (Approved). For example, a PO transaction may be in "Incomplete Status" due the Award budget not being approved/baselined. The resolution is to review the award budget and revise it if needed. Then submit the Award budget for approval process to baseline it.
