You Have an Idea for Green Innovation?

Apply to the public call for innovative solutions for the green transition!

Belgrade, October 26, 2023 – We are inviting public and private companies, research institutions, civil society organisations, agricultural associations, cooperatives, agricultural holdings, local government units, and managers of protected areas to propose innovative business solutions for green transition in the following areas of the Green Agenda for the Western Balkans:

  • decarbonisation (reducing greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions),

  • environmental pollution reduction, with a particular focus on air,

  • protection and conservation of nature and biodiversity, and

  • development of rural and sustainable food supply systems.

 

This Call, with the support of the European Union, Sweden, and Switzerland, in partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection and in cooperation with the European Investment Bank (EIB), is launched by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Serbia.

The best-received proposals will receive mentoring and technical support for further development, while the most successful among them will be provided with co-financing for their application in practice.

Applications to the Public Call for Innovative Solutions for Green Transition are done exclusively electronically by filling out an online form HERE (in Serbian). The deadline for applications is November 24 at 16:00, when the last selection cycle of the solutions for the green transition to be supported by the end of the year closes. Thanks to the support of the EU and the Government of Switzerland in the total amount of 1.8 million USD allocated in the previous cycles of this public call, the leaders of the green transition in Serbia are currently implementing 31 innovative solutions. The Public Call for innovative solutions for green transition is opened within the project "EU for Green Agenda in Serbia", which, with the technical and financial support of the European Union and a partnership with the Ministry of Environmental Protection, is implemented by UNDP in cooperation with the Embassy of Sweden and the European Investment Bank (EIB), with additional funding from the governments of Sweden, Switzerland, and Serbia.
