Aswan Mohamoud Jibril is a trailblazer for women's equality in Somaliland, having become one of the region's first female prosecutors at the age of 26. Despite the low literacy rates among women in her hometown of Borama, she pursued her dream of becoming a lawyer with the help of a UNDP scholarship. This publication highlights her achievements and role as a leader for women in her community.
