The 2012 UNDP Annual Report outlines significant changes in Somalia, including UNDP's advocacy for increased youth inclusion and funding of tertiary scholarships for women in non-traditional fields, as well as efforts to strengthen the police and justice sectors. Additionally, the introduction of police uniforms in Mogadishu and Somaliland and the training and successful deployment of 100 criminal investigators to police stations were major accomplishments in 2012.
