Voluntary National Review Report 2022: 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development
July 12, 2022
The Government of Somalia, in coordination with the Somalia National Bureau of Statistics and in collaboration with civil society, women and youth groups, the private sector, and representatives from the Federal and Federal Member States, has submitted its first Voluntary National Review (VNR) report.
Despite facing challenges such as Covid-19 and climate-related shocks, Somalia has shown strong commitment towards implementing multi-sectoral reforms and achieving the SDGs.
The 2022 VNR report serves as a means to assess progress, share challenges and experiences, and draw lessons which will be presented to UN member countries at a High-Level Political Forum meeting in July 2022.
This submission highlights Somalia's dedication to the Agenda 2030 for Sustainable Development, and the 2022 VNR report presents an excellent opportunity to measure progress, share contextual challenges and experiences, and draw relevant lessons to further drive sustainable development efforts in the country.
