At UNDP Tanzania, promoting gender equality and empowering women is at the core of our mission. We are dedicated to supporting policy development, capacity-building, and other interventions that lead to tangible results for women, youth, and people with disabilities.

Our programs are designed to prioritize national priorities and improve the livelihoods and employment opportunities for youth and women, ensuring they are not left behind in Tanzania's sustainable development.

To ensure gender mainstreaming is integrated into all our programming, organizational development, and communications, we have an active Gender Focal Team. Additionally, we have a Gender Equality Strategy 2022-2027 in place, which will enable us to accelerate our performance towards Gold Certification in the Gender Seal.
