"We Ting" Caravan - Fashion Showdown! 👗✨

Get ready to witness the fusion of creativity and style as youth and elders team up to bring unique fashion designs to life! The “We Ting” Caravan’s Fashion Segment is all about intergenerational collaboration, creativity, and community pride. Step up and showcase your talent in one of two exciting fashion contests: Design & Make Your Own and Create Your Own Style!

Event Highlights:

📅 Event Date: October 19th, 2024
📍 Location: Deltones Steel Orchestra, Siparia, Trinidad and Tobago
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM

👥 Intergenerational Collaboration:
Each team must include both a youth participant (12-25 years) and a senior participant (50-75 years). This age-pairing ensures a blend of fresh perspectives and lived experience, where young and senior participants collaborate to bring their shared vision to life. Let’s celebrate the power of intergenerational teamwork and showcase the unity of our diverse community!

👗 Two Contest Categories:

1. Design & Make Your Own:

• Pre-register online and secure your spot! Only 10 entries.
• Teams will document their creative process through a short video (4 minutes), showcasing the design journey from start to finish.
• On the event day, present your fashion masterpiece alongside your video.
• The top team from each community moves on to the finals!

2. Create Your Own Style:

• Register on the day for this category—space is limited to 10 entries.
• Teams will select clothing items from our curated clothes rack and put together a stunning look. (All items are borrowed for the day and must be returned.)
• Present your unique style on the runway for all to see!

• Community winners advance to the finals, where the best stylists will be crowned!
