Miodrag Dragisic, UNDP Türkiye Deputy Resident Representative

Miodrag brings over 20 years of multifaceted experience across the development, humanitarian, and private sectors. Since joining UNDP Montenegro in 2002, he has advanced to the position of Assistant Resident Representative, serving as the de facto Deputy for eight years. In this role, he has managed program implementation, expanded partnerships, and secured funding to support social and economic development. As the Team Leader of the Social Inclusion portfolio, Miodrag managed programs in social policy, employment, and gender equality. He has led and contributed to numerous reports and think pieces concerning the MDGs, SDGs, poverty reduction, social protection, human development, and EU accession. Miodrag has also undertaken specialized assignments in UNDP RBEC in New York, Liaison Office in Brussels, and Istanbul Regional Hub.

Before joining UNDP, Miodrag worked in telecommunications sector as a Financial Controller with Telenor Montenegro, where he conducted financial and operational analyses, developed annual budgets and business plans, and reported on progress and market forecasts to the Financial Director.

In the humanitarian sector, Miodrag worked as Senior Project Coordinator for the Danish Refugee Council in Montenegro, where he led post-conflict programs to support the integration of refugees and displaced populations. He also coordinated two components of the peace and stability program, aimed at building CSO capacities through training, financial support, and organizational development.

Miodrag is an Economist with specialization in Team management and holds two master’s degrees in International Cooperation and Development (University of Sapienza, Italy) and Environmental Protection (University of Montenegro). He is fluent in Montenegrin and English and proficient in several South Slavic languages.
