Inclusive and Green Growth

Summary

UNDP’s project-based support to the Türkiye Government particularly aims at increasing the competitive strength of disadvantaged regions including Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia. Such strength is attained by providing technical support in selected sectors such as organic agriculture, tourism and renewable energies with gender equality and women’s empowerment perspective throughout the projects.

UNDP collaborates with the Government, the civil society and the private sector to contribute to eradicate regional disparities, to improve rural livelihoods, to enhance competitiveness, and to boost entrepreneurship and innovation.

There are three programme areas under Inclusive and Green Growth:

  • Competitiveness and Economic Growth
  • Local Economic Development
  • Public Policies and Inequalities

Inclusive and Green Growth portfolio aims to address structural issues critical to national competitiveness, paying full attention to inclusiveness and sustainability.

UNDP Türkiye’s initiatives that support green growth does not only help to improve sustainable economic growth, but also contribute to Turkish economy to become more productive, competitive and resilient.
