UNDP launches survey to assess impact war on the private sector in Ukraine
September 1, 2022
Since the beginning of the full-scale war in Ukraine, most micro, small and medium enterprises, which people rely on for good and services, are finding it hard to stay in business. To determine exactly how the public sector can support them, the United Nations Development Programme is launching an anonymous express survey to analyse needs and challenges. According to an earlier UNDP rapid assessment of the sector, the war in Ukraine has caused 50 percent of businesses to shut down or significantly scale down their operations.
Representatives of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises that work or have relocated their businesses from Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson and Zaporizhzhia oblasts are invited to take part in the survey.
As one of the independent evaluation tools, UNDP asks each to answer a number of questions about the geography of movement of representatives of micro, small and medium enterprises, the current state of business and their needs. The information received will help to determine the most relevant areas of support that the private sector in Ukraine and will inform an appropriate and targeted response from the Government and the international community.
The survey is available now at this link.
